Business Development Manager, Sales
The successful candidate will be results driven and thrive in a busy, fast paced environment and have the ability to communicate with senior management, colleagues as well as high profile guests and associates. EMPLOYER: Islam Channel
Wage: £16,000 per annum Basic + 10% commission
Location: Ilford, Essex
Reporting to: Head of sales
Hours: Full time 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday (Flexibility required to work weekends, bank holidays and additional hours)
THE ROLE: Business Development Manager (Sales)

    • To develop existing customer accounts and actively prospect new accounts to ensure sales forecast and revenue targets are met as a 80% growth from current customers and 20% new business.
    • Liaise with the sales team, Head of, CEO and contribute to the development of sales strategies to ensure sales targets are met and ideally exceeded;
    • Arrange meetings with clients to discuss and analyse their requirement’s
    • Compile and analyse sales figures, prepare proposals for marketing campaigns and promotional activities and undertake market research as and when necessary
    • Undertake interviewing and reporting duties and uphold a public relations role ensuring a positive image reflection of the company
    • Provide proposal’s to boost revenue
    • Take full responsibility of the advertising campaign, liaise with the client, production and post-production team conceptualisation until final delivery of product/services
    • Analyse reports to establish current trends across account base & identify key actions to be completed
    • All client/customer enquiries to be responded to within 24 hours of receipt and to make sure all issues are addressed and resolved as quickly as possible.
    • Working within the price parameters set to negotiate terms to new and existing customers
    • Take full responsibility of the advertising campaign, liaise with the client, production and post-production team conceptualisation until final delivery of product/services
    • Submit sales and revenue forecasts monthly to the CEO and Head of Sales
Skills:
  • Financial acumen
  • Ability to work effectively as a team and to strict clientele specifications
  • Ability to manage conflicting deadlines and work under pressure
  • Structured selling techniques
  • Clear and confident communicator: verbal and written
  • Ability to network and build effective business relations with clients and prospective clientele
EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of 2 years previous sales experience
  • Previous experience within the sales and advertising department within the Broadcast Media is a distinct advantage but not necessary
Qualifications: Degree or Postgraduate Qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business Development or other relevant qualifications
